your training.

The ability to defend yourself. A new skill.
A good place for your child. An hour for yourself.
Start with what brings you here.

How do I choose between private and group training?

In a group, you learn and practice with different training partners. In private training, you work directly with Ran on your own goal, with time for focused demonstration, practice and correction. Both formats suit beginners and people who want to go further. Ran will help you choose based on your interests and what fits into your life.

Meet Ran

A coach who gets to know you.
Still a student himself.

When Ran goes to train with Dennis, he goes to see his teacher, spend time with friends and learn something new.

That's the atmosphere he wants in his own sessions, too. Serious practice, a challenge and a coach who knows the person he's teaching. With a young child, it may start with play and movement. With an experienced student, it might be a small adjustment that changes an entire technique.

Ran's volunteer work · Amcha in Holon

Music, food and gifts.
Years of showing up.

Ran has volunteered for years at Amcha, a community club for Holocaust survivors in Holon. He organizes celebrations with music, food and gifts, bringing friends and students along to spend time with people they've come to know.

There's joy in the celebrations and a connection that lasts between visits. Ran also talks about what he receives from the people there: a love of life, a sense of closeness and something more to learn.

Your questions
belong here, too.

I have another question
Can I start without any experience?

Yes. Start with a short conversation about your interests and background, then choose a way to try the training. You don't need to know any techniques or already have a belt.

What happens in the first session?

Wear comfortable clothes. Ran gets to know you, asks about your experience and any limitations he should take into account, and explains what you'll do. The format and details of the trial session are agreed on in advance.

Is there contact and sparring?

Yes. Contact, partner work and sparring are part of learning martial arts. Ran supervises and adapts the practice to age, experience and ability. If you have any concerns, you can talk with him before the session.

What age can kids start?

Usually around age five. For younger children, Ran considers each child individually. Early training focuses on movement, balance, coordination and play within a martial arts class.
